GKN Hungary Plant is looking for a Supply Chain Manager who will act as a key member of the Leadership Team for the designed site, providing business support and strategic direction.Ensure organization, resources, people development and training are in place to run &
improve the departmentsperformance.Set &
Achieve target declarations for both the office and the logistic team.Develop and continuously improve the plan and execution of material and information flow by utilizing efficient processes and available capacities and resources in order to meet customer demand, enhance material flow and optimise inventory.Ensure compliance to policies, standards, and governance of supply chain processes including DES. Execute divisional supply chain strategy.Strategy Formation and ImplementationDevelop tactical plans for optimizing resources and assets being managed within a given area or department.Leadership and DirectionCommunicate the local action plan;
explain how this relates to the function's strategy and action plan, and the broader organization's mission and vision;
motivate people to achieve local business goals.Supply PlanningExecute planning activities within a defined framework/system with dependencies on other processes/units.Supplier ManagementMonitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of smaller suppliers to recommend and ensure delivery of improvements by suppliers or to renegotiate or change contract/supplier.BudgetingDeliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.Inventory ControlAchieve specific goals for plant direct inventoryHealth, Safety and EnvironmentFollow the organization's Health, Safety and Environment HS&
E policies, procedures and mandatory instructions, to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve these, escalating serious issues as appropriate.Performance ManagementDevelop and propose own performance objectives;
take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization's performance management systems to improve personal performance. OR Manage and report on team performance;
set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.Continuous ImprovementUse the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions to build their capabilities. Provide training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.Operations ManagementSupervise others working within established operational systems.Incoming GoodsManage a medium-size and medium-complexity warehouse and stores using existing procedures and develop new procedures when required to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded appropriately.TransportManage the transportation of goods and supplies for a medium-sized organization using existing procedures;
