Financial Controller | Ready To Move From Accounting Into Business Controlling?

Are you working in accounting and looking to move towards controlling or business finance?

We are looking for a motivated accountant professional to join a dynamic international controller team in Budapest. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a solid accounting background who would like to develop a more analytical and business-oriented skill set.

In this role, you will support the financial controlling activities of a global intercompany business, gaining exposure to profitability analysis, management reporting, inventory performance, and international stakeholder collaboration.

What you'll do

• Perform sales and gross margin analysis
• Support inventory and profitability reviews
• Prepare regular financial reports and management information
• Analyze financial performance and investigate variances
• Participate in month-end closing activities
• Support audit processes and documentation preparation
• Collaborate with international finance, accounting, tax, and business teams
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and consistency checks
• Work with financial systems and reporting tools to improve efficiency

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Approximately 2-4 years of experience in finance or accounting (RTR, GL, Financial Accountant)
• Understanding of accounting principles, month-end close activities, and financial reporting
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills
• Confident English communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams
• Ambitious, proactive personality with a willingness to learn and grow

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP
• Exposure to reporting or financial analysis
• Knowledge of Tableau or similar reporting tools
